According to World Population Review, finding accurate demographic data from North Korea is difficult. It is a socialist country led by leader Kim Jung Un of the Kim Jung dynasty. The most recent data was the 2008 census which reported exactly 25 million people. It is commonly thought of as the most homogenous country in the world. There are small pockets of Chinese and Japanese communities, but due to the political environment any immigration into the country is rare.
Location: Eastern Asia in the northern half of the Korean Peninsula, bordered between the Korea Bay, the Sea of Japan, China, and South Korea. It is a hilly country with mountains and deep valleys. There are coastal plains in the west. The population is concentrated in the plains, with the least populated areas in the mountainous regions near the Chinese border.
